Wireless Network Security Assessment

Enterprise Risk Management’s wireless network security assessment measures the security of wireless infrastructures and provides organizations with a complete overview of vulnerabilities and threats to the information systems accessible via the wireless network.

ERM’s security assessment experts use a customized methodology that consists of three phases:

Onsite Survey: The first step involves performing an onsite survey to assess the wireless network physical security as well as potential RF interference that can be caused by neighboring devices and networks. At the end of this step, our team will be able to build a profile of your network that will be used by the ERM team to create customized attacks.

Vulnerability Identification and Assessment: The network security risk assessment will evaluate the security of the network during the association, authentication, and usage. The ERM team will then simulate a rogue user searching vulnerabilities affecting the security controls in place including the ESSID, encryption, network segmentation, and access control devices.

Exploitation: The ERM team will attempt to exploit the vulnerabilities identified and gain access to the wireless network and the information systems residing within it as well as compromising other network segments belonging to the organization.

As part of the network security assessment, the ERM team will also focus on the current IDS/IPS and incident response techniques in place to ensure incidents are detected and controlled as planned.
